I’m a lifelong Arkansan committed to making this state better for the people I love.
The avenues I’ve taken to create a better Arkansas are mental health and political activism. I took a leap and ran for State Senate in 2022, and it was one of the greatest (and most exhausting) adventures of my life.
In my career as a licensed social worker, I serve clients’ mental health needs, working mostly with kids and families.
My specialties include early childhood trauma and foster care.
I’ve been married to my husband Andrew for eleven years, and we have the honor of raising two of the greatest humans in the world, Rosie (7 y/o) and Beau (8 y/o). Our parenting experience is not typical, and we like it that way.
This site is an extension of my ongoing work and advocacy for a better Arkansas. My Senate campaign was centered around the idea of a bright future for our state, and realizing that bright future is going to take a long time—decades, in fact. In the spirit of commitment (and natural-born stubbornness), I’m not going anywhere.
I’m thrilled you’re “here” to see the work being done, and I hope you’ll find it easy to engage in a meaningful way.
With hope and determination,
AGS
